Thoughout the years of the history of the NFL, one of the biggest scoring teams was the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers were founded on July 8, 1933 by Arthur Joseph Rooney. These big bad Steelers had five Superbowls before 2000. They won 4 of 5 Superbowls. One of the main parts of this football team is their offence.
The Pittsburgh Steelers offence was amazing throughout the years. Terry Bradshaw was a quarterback with 3,724 yards and 26 touchdowns. This quarterback was great and led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a win in the Superbowl against the St. Louis Rams with the final score of 31-19. Although this is all the past...
How about them Steelers?! Ben Roethlisberger is the starting quarterback for the present day Pittsburgh Steelers. This rookie quarterback at the 2006 season led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a Superbowl and won over the Seattle Seahawks 21-10 as they won their 5th Superbowl of all times. Big Ben leads the Steelers with their longest passes and accuracy and quickness and also as a high scoring quarterback. Throughout the years Big Ben has been with the Steelers, they have scored many touchdowns and just about made it into the playoffs every year.
The running game hasn't been too good for the Steelers as Willie Parker (starter running back) has been hurt. Rashard Mendenhall (2nd string running back) is also hurt. Carey Davis (fullback) is ALSO HURT! However, starting running back Mewelde Moore (#21) is getting first downs and not planning to give up on his team. Also, Najeh Davenport has more touchdowns than Willie Parker last year and this big running #44 gets back the line and gains yards. The Pittsburgh Steelers are not that good at running this year but these running backs are planning to play their season strong and score touchdowns.
Hines Ward! Known as one of the best blocking wide receivers he also scores many touchdowns. This #86 gets in his route and finds the ball in his hand and in the end zone. He knows what his job is and he's very good at it. Number 10, Santonio Holmes is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and can't drop the ball. This wide receiver finds his route, catches the ball, and breaks every tackle and gets in the end zone. These two Pittsburgh Steeler wide receivers don't give up and put points on the scoreboard.
Finally, you can't forget about your O line. Marvel Smith, Alan Faneca, Jeff Hartings, Kendall Simmons, and Max Starks are some of the main reasons Steelers can get the ball out to an open receiver. This big bad offensive line knows how to block and most of the time do it well. But to the left or right of these players is Heath Miller! The #83 tight end gets good catches and also can't seem to drop the ball. This big guy knows how to run people over and get good yardage for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also knows how to get into the end zone when he has to.
So this is the Pittsburgh Steelers offense and this is how they are going to keep playing. This big bad Steelers offense can get past any defense if they want to. So to all you Pittsburgh Steelers fans...HOW ABOUT THEM STEELERS!
